ID Ward is a privacy-first data management platform allowing publishers and marketers to create cross-domain and cross-device user identities and audience segments without using third-party cookies and mobile IDs.
ID ward stores all personal data on an encrypted ‘data account’ controlled by the end user, and processes it on the user device. This ensures GDPR compliance, prevents audience loss (caused by browser restrictions, ad blockers, cookie clearing or failed ID syncs), prevents the transfer of unlawful personal data across the vendor supply chain, and minimises data breaches and other cyber-security risks.
By transferring control of personal data from companies to individuals, ID Ward creates a data level-playing field whereby all companies have access to the same level of high-quality, anonymised user information.

ID Ward Ltd is based at the University of Nottingham Innovation Park, with offices in London and Barcelona. We are lean startup with a core team of six very busy people, and active collaborations with super-smart AI researchers at the University of Nottingham, University of Padova and Vienna Institute of Technology.
We are Horizon 2020 recipients and ‘Most Promising Startup’ at the World News Media Congress 2019. We first provided content personalisation to large media companies in Germany, Belgium and Cyprus, then pivoted to privacy-preserving advertising. We have since been on a really fast-growth trajectory, with interest from world-leading advertisers and publishers.
